Welcome to our Marrakech Riad

Riads are all about calmness and tranquility when entering from the bustle and noise of the medina outside the door. This is what you feel the moment you enter Riad Capaldi, A big heavy door leads you into the entrance with an old vaulted ceiling through to the courtyard. Riad Capaldi has a small plunge pool to cool down after a day’s adventure in the souks. Leading from the riad courtyard there is a library, salon and dining room, all with fireplaces - a perfect place to take a mint tea. On warmer days the courtyard at Riad Capaldi is shaded by a large banana tree and the huge roof terrace makes a great place to lounge with views over the medina. Riad Capaldi has seven bedrooms all individually designed from the oulidia room with private roof terrace to the Dome Suite with private sitting room, old Moroccan plaster work and a fireplace. Cinnamon and Ivoire both share the original cedar ceiling and are unusually wide for a riad. The Jasmine Room also has a fireplace making those winter nights romantic. All rooms at Riad Capaldi are decorated in a contemporary style with traditional materials from the Bejmat flooring throughout to tadelakt bathrooms with traditional copper fittings and the beautiful yeseria plasterwork framing each doorway.

Riad Capaldi is perfectly located in the Medina, a stone’s throw away from the Photography Museum of Marrakech that has over 4,500 photos dating back to the 1870’s. Further down the cobbled street you will find Ben Youseff Madrasa, an islamic school dating back to the 14th century which opened to the public in 1982. A walk to the world famous Jemna El Fna and the Koutoubia Mosque from Riad Capaldi takes your through the copper, leather, slippers and rug souks and past the spice market.

Riad Capaldi is where east meets west with the old culture of the medina and artisans still practising to the new contemporary super stylish boutiques. Find out more about our Hotel Maroc here. Find The Capaldi Hotel on Facebook and follow The Capaldi Hotel on Twitter here.
